Woman charged in car accident that kills her relative

A Texas car accident has left one woman dead and another facing criminal charges. The accident happened at the intersection of Loop 410 and IH 10 East at approximately 2:30 a.m. on March 15. According to police, the 25-year-old woman was allegedly driving while intoxicated and veered her SUV to the right. That maneuver caused the SUV to roll over.

Texas man facing DWI charges

A traffic accident led to an overturned tanker truck and chemical spill in Harris County on Sept. 3. In relation to the accident, one man from Cypress is facing charges for driving while intoxicated after being believed to have caused the wreck.

Drug crime alleged in drug-free zone

A raid by Texas law enforcement agents from Fort Bend County ended in multiple felony and misdemeanor drug crime allegations against a man, his girlfriend and her 18-year-old son. Police entered the home of the accused individuals to execute a search warrant as part of an investigation into street-level drug trafficking.Police from the Fort Bend County Narcotics Task Force searched the home and seized quantities of marijuana, cocaine and crack cocaine. Also seized was evidence that a drug manufacturing and distribution operation was being conducted from the house that is near two elementary schools.

Texas man will be re-tried for sexual assault

Everybody deserves their day in court. This adage reflects the constitutional guarantee to due process, a court trial and a capable defense when someone is charged with a crime. One Texas man who was convicted on criminal charges of sexual assault in 2003 is getting a new trial. The Texas Court of Criminal Appeals recently ruled that the man's defense was "deficient."

Houston man faces criminal charge, allegedly impersonated officer

Police say a man tried to impersonate one of their own this week. The man was pulled over in Houston and will now face criminal charges after allegedly trying to impersonate a police officer. The man said he doesn't speak English, complicating the matter.
