According to the Bridge City Police Department, officers detained a 22-year-old man in relation to a Dec. 30 robbery of a gas station convenience store. The armed incident was reported into authorities at approximately 10:50 p.m., officials said.
Reportedly, the 22-year-old man was inside the convenience store when he brandished a weapon and began demanding money, only to flee the premises on foot when with cash in hand . Officers at the scene were still investigating the reported robbery scene when the man reportedly returned in a pickup truck and attempted to purchase gasoline.

Upon questioning by the officers, the 22-year-old man made statements implicating himself in the reported robbery. Officers stated all of the money stolen in the robbery was recovered, and the man was taken into custody.
