Man faces robbery charges following purse-snatching incidents

Houston police say that a tip from Crime Stoppers helped them identify a man who may have been involved in three robberies that occurred in local Walmart parking lots on Feb. 2, Feb. 21 and March 1. According to news sources, the 21-year-old man has been taken into custody and is now facing charges of robbery bodily injury in connection with the purse-snatching incidents.

Police charge 2 men with aggravated robbery

According to law enforcement authorities in Texas, two men were charged with aggravated robbery following an incident that reportedly occurred on Feb. 4 in the Katy area of Fort Bend County. The alleged aggravated robbery occurred at a Lifetime Fitness facility around 6:30 p.m.

4 accused of Texas bicycle theft ring

On Jan. 13, Texas authorities announced that a high-end bicycle theft ring that allegedly resulted in $70,000worth of stolen property was busted. Four individuals who were accused of being involved were identified as a 20-year-old woman, a 30-year-old man, a 34-year-old man and a 49-year-old man. The men were reportedly in custody, though the accused woman was not.

Former secretary sentenced for stealing $1 million

According to a Sept. 4 report, a woman who worked as a secretary for a Texas-based company was charged and sentenced for allegedly stealing approximately $1 million. She was received a 10-year prison sentence after she pleaded no contest in a plea deal in June.

Texas couple arrested for theft of sorority pins in Arlington

A husband and wife from Texas were detained on suspicion of theft on Mar. 12. The 42-year-old woman and her 41-year-old spouse were arrested on theft charges for an alleged burglary of sorority memorabilia in Arlington. The woman was an employee at the college headquarters and has allegedly been suspended from her job. Details surrounding the charges remain unknown at the time of the report.

Texas man linked to multiple cases, facing new charges

Detectives with the League City Police Department reportedly linked a man to 13 new cases after he had already been charged with several offenses. On Jan. 13, officers reached out to the League City community asking for assistance in locating the individual who had a warrant for felony theft charges.

Texas woman and boyfriend accused of stealing Rolex

A 20-year-old Pearland woman and her 21-year-old Lake Jackson boyfriend were taken into custody and charged with third degree felony theft after a stolen Rolex watch valued at $13,000 was located at a Houston pawnshop. The person who owned the watch has accused a family member of taking it on Dec. 13.

Texas man charged with $200,000 employer embezzlement

A 41-year-old man from Houston was charged with dual felony counts of cumulative theft and money laundering after his employer claimed that he falsified records on the job so that he could steal funds. On Nov. 21, the firm, New Caney Recycling, told police that the man may have taken as much as $200,000 over the course of a single month and then transferred the profits to his home nation of Pakistan and a number of other unidentified sources.

Two men taken into custody for alleged theft

Two men are facing charges after police officers took them into custody following a bank robbery in Texas. Police allege that the men led them on a car chase before exiting their vehicle. Law enforcement officials then chased the men on foot and both were captured. An off-duty police officer was reported to have seen the men as they left the scene of the crime. He is the one who began the pursuit.
