On March 19, Houston police arrested a 40-year-old mother on suspicion of manufacturing and providing controlled substances and alcohol to a teen who died in May 2014 in a hotel after her prom. Her son had already been charged with aggravated assault related to the death of his girlfriend. Authorities in Texas arrested two people for possession of marijuana after police received a lead through the TIP411 line on July 31. Investigators claimed they identified two people in El Paso who allegedly possessed over 20 pounds of marijuana. Detectives pulled over the 24-year-old male suspect as he was driving a vehicle on Aug. 1. Police allegedly recovered 3.7 ounces of marijuana from inside the vehicle. Law enforcement then reportedly found 24 pounds of marijuana inside the suspect's home.
