A Houston man reported that a woman allegedly robbed him in his home while impersonating a police officer on Nov. 26. He reported to police that he spotted her outside of his North Houston apartment complex in a black SUV upon arriving home after withdrawing $1,300 from a Bank of America ATM. He believes that she followed him home from the bank at 12400 North Freeway.
When he entered his apartment, the woman allegedly struck him from behind, announced that she was a police officer and flashed a badge, according to court documents. She allegedly told him he was under arrest, went through his pockets and took the $1,300 before fleeing.
In addition, her description and license plate matched that of an aggravated robbery that occurred later as well as one that occurred at a gas station in Oct. In that incident, she allegedly offered a man sex for $40 and pulled a gun when he refused. She told him she was a police officer and extorted $400 from him.
After a photo lineup in which one victim identified a 29-year-old Harris County woman, she was taken into custody and charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon and impersonating an officer. Her bond was set at $60,000.
