Two man have been convicted on felony theft charges in connection with items taken from a truck earlier this year. The two Huston natives took pictures and incriminating videos of themselves and posted the items on their victim's iCloud account.
Houston police say that a tip from Crime Stoppers helped them identify a man who may have been involved in three robberies that occurred in local Walmart parking lots on Feb. 2, Feb. 21 and March 1. According to news sources, the 21-year-old man has been taken into custody and is now facing charges of robbery bodily injury in connection with the purse-snatching incidents.
According to law enforcement authorities in Texas, two men were charged with aggravated robbery following an incident that reportedly occurred on Feb. 4 in the Katy area of Fort Bend County. The alleged aggravated robbery occurred at a Lifetime Fitness facility around 6:30 p.m.
On Jan. 13, Texas authorities announced that a high-end bicycle theft ring that allegedly resulted in $70,000worth of stolen property was busted. Four individuals who were accused of being involved were identified as a 20-year-old woman, a 30-year-old man, a 34-year-old man and a 49-year-old man. The men were reportedly in custody, though the accused woman was not.
A Houston man reported that a woman allegedly robbed him in his home while impersonating a police officer on Nov. 26. He reported to police that he spotted her outside of his North Houston apartment complex in a black SUV upon arriving home after withdrawing $1,300 from a Bank of America ATM. He believes that she followed him home from the bank at 12400 North Freeway.
According to the Bridge City Police Department, officers detained a 22-year-old man in relation to a Dec. 30 robbery of a gas station convenience store. The armed incident was reported into authorities at approximately 10:50 p.m., officials said.
According to a Sept. 4 report, a woman who worked as a secretary for a Texas-based company was charged and sentenced for allegedly stealing approximately $1 million. She was received a 10-year prison sentence after she pleaded no contest in a plea deal in June.
A 26-year-old woman has been taken into custody based on video footage and leads in the community of Joshua, where crosses were taken from the front area of a home. The incident allegedly occurred as the family living in the home was sleeping. According to officials, the family's video captured the woman's face clearly. The video also included a time stamp that indicated a 3:50 a.m. time for the incident. The family used social media to post the video in an effort to identify the woman, who now faces theft charges. Warrants were issued upon identification of the individual, and she was consequently detained in Dallas.
According to that someone visited Parkview Manor Nursing early the morning of May 16 and ordered employees to open a safe. It is claimed that the individual carried a BB gun. When police arrived, the individual reportedly fled. However, the person is believed to have returned and ordered employees to move the safe. The following Monday, two 17-year-old Weimar High School students were arrested on theft charges. The student accused of robbing the nursing home has been identified as the school's quarterback.
A husband and wife from Texas were detained on suspicion of theft on Mar. 12. The 42-year-old woman and her 41-year-old spouse were arrested on theft charges for an alleged burglary of sorority memorabilia in Arlington. The woman was an employee at the college headquarters and has allegedly been suspended from her job. Details surrounding the charges remain unknown at the time of the report.
