News sources in Texas report that two people were taken into custody on numerous drug charges after police executed a search warrant on a home in Nacogdoches. The couple was taken into police custody on suspicion of possessing, manufacturing and delivering methamphetamine and other dangerous drugs, according to reports. Officials placed the infant into the custody of a family member.

On Jan. 10, it was reported that a man was facing two felony drug charges after a Texas police officer pulled his vehicle over for speeding. The man was accused of being in possession of marijuana and edible cookies, both of which are legal with a prescription in his home state of California.
