A man has been taken into custody by police officers from the northeast Texas town of Gladewater. He has been charged with a variety of crimes related to the possessions and distribution of narcotics. The police have announced that this marks the conclusion of an ongoing investigation.
Police investigators and patrol officers from Gladewater detained the man, a 25-year-old resident of that town, on the evening of Nov. 6. They allege that at the time of the detention the man was carrying more than 10 grams of a powdery substance that they believe to be heroin.
The individual has been charged with delivery of controlled substance. There was also an indictment for felony theft outstanding against him in Gregg County. At the time of the detention, the man was already on probation in Gregg County due to previous engagements he had with the law. The Gladewater police did not announce that any other citizens had been suspected of illegal activity within the scope of this investigation, and no charges against any other individuals were said to be forthcoming at this time.
