For the past 15 years, I have defended individuals and business entities under investigation or charged with crimes in Harris County, Galveston County, Fort Bend County, Montgomery County, Brazoria County and throughout Texas in both state and federal courts.
I am a lifelong Houston resident. I come from a family of lawyers who practice in Texas and throughout the country. I graduated from the Houston public school system and Texas A&M University. I am an honors graduate of South Texas College of Law. While in law school, I was recruited by the Harris County District Attorney’s Office to go work as a prosecutor. Upon graduation, I did just that. For four years, I successfully prosecuted many cases, ranging from DWI and drug charges to rape, robbery and murder.
In 1995, I left the Harris County District Attorney’s Office to pursue a criminal defense law practice in Houston. If you need a divorce or if you have been injured through someone’s negligence, I can't help you. I can send you to some of the best lawyers on the planet, but I do not practice in those areas of the law. All I do is represent people and business entities charged with crimes.
I handle all types of criminal defense cases, including DWI, intoxicated manslaughter, drug crimes, domestic assault and family violence cases, sex crimes, theft charges, robbery and homicide. In federal court, I represent people and companies charged with various types of fraud, including bank fraud, health care fraud, mortgage fraud, immigration fraud, wire fraud and mail fraud.
